The club was established to  introduce young boys and girls to the game of golf, to teach them the basic skills in a safe and friendly environment, whilst having FUN!

The objectives are to establish a variety of programmes for boys and girls between the age of 8 to 16 and create pathways through golf to cater for beginners to the advanced.

The McCormack Golf Club is a non-profit organisation run by a small committee, dependant on sponsorship from the Jack Newton Foundation, West Beach Trust, Westwood Ho Golf Club, Drummond Golf, Adelaide Pro Shop and Parents.

Activities include regular coaching and playing days, a variety of tournaments, holiday clinics, school programs and camps.
